3月8日下午，外国语学院党总支在励志楼401召开2024年“三八”妇女节座谈会暨上半年党外知识分子座谈会，学院全体教职工参加了会议。学校党委委员、统战部部长王曙列席并讲话。学院党总支副书记、院长段平华主持会议。
会上，杨红芳同志领学了《云南省教育系统统一战线知识读本》中《经典论述》的内容；苏文俊同志领学了《云南省教育系统宗教知识读本》中《习近平总书记关于宗教工作的重要论述》的内容。
洪学典、唐湖、和兰花、罗基萍、张庆梅、罗慧凡、谷兰几位老师围绕学校、学院发展作交流发言。
学校党委委员、统战部部长王曙肯定了学院在统战工作中取得的成绩，感谢学院对学校统战工作的大力支持，并提出了五点希望和建议：一要搞好团结谋发展；二要履职尽责，树立底线意识；三要做好培养工作，发挥好党外知识分子参政议政的作用；四要打造品牌、提质创新，使亮点更亮，特色更特；五要提升自我，做好短板、弱项的排查。
学院党总支书记李根艳讲话。她首先祝全体教职工节日快乐，向大家介绍学院搬迁到励志楼后，有了党群之家、书香外院、教研活动室，今后将更好地为师生服务。最后她希望全院教职工团结一致，总结过去，为学院的发展建言献策。
最后，学院党总支副书记、院长段平华给全体教职工送上节日祝福：

In your daily work, you have made significant contributions to the development of our school through your intelligence and professional abilities.
